Plans & Limits

There are two plans, Free and Pro, and Pro is billed either monthly or yearly. Founding Member is not a third plan. It is what the yearly plan grants while seats remain — the reason to commit to a year rather than pay by the month. Both cadences buy the same Pro; only the yearly one carries a seat.

Plan comparison

The two Pro columns are the same plan at the same entitlements — the yearly one costs less per month and, while the seats last, adds the four rows at the bottom of the table. Anything Pro gains later, a Founding Member seat gains at the same time.

How the daily limit works

On the Free plan your account gets 10 transactions per day. A transaction is a single save or a single retrieve:

• Save — writing a new memory to the vault, whether you type it into the app or an AI client calls the save tool for you.
• Retrieve — reading memories back out, including a search issued by a connected client.

Saves and retrieves draw from the same pool of 10. Five saves and five retrieves exhaust the day exactly as ten saves would.

The counter is per account, not per client

There is one counter on your account, and every surface decrements it: the OmegaVault app, and every AI client connected over MCP — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, and any other compatible client. Connecting a second client does not grant a second allowance. A retrieve triggered by Cursor and a save made in the app both come out of the same 10.

Connecting AI sources is free on every plan. It is the transactions they perform that are metered, because each one costs an AI API call to run.

Reset is at midnight local time

The counter resets to 10 at 00:00 in your local timezone. It is a calendar-day limit, not a rolling 24-hour window — the reset is not measured from your first transaction of the day.

In practice: if you spend all 10 at 23:50, you have 10 again ten minutes later at 00:00. If you spend all 10 at 00:10, you wait until the following midnight. Unused transactions do not carry over — the counter is set to 10, not incremented by 10.

Once the day's 10 are used, further save and retrieve calls are rejected until the next reset. Nothing already in your vault is affected: stored memories are never deleted or truncated by the limit, and storage is unlimited on every plan.

Founding Member seats

Founding Member is the yearly plan while the first 100 seats last. There is no separate Founding Member product and no separate price: the $79.99 you pay for a year of Pro is the same $79.99 whether a seat is attached to it or not. The seat is what the yearly commitment earns, not a surcharge on top of it.

A seat adds four things to Pro:

• A direct async line to the founder for roadmap feedback and feature requests.
• Early access to developer and API features before general release.
• A gold badge shown on your profile across OmegaVault communities.
• Permanent Founding Member status. Once claimed, the seat is yours — it is never grandfathered out, it keeps any benefit added to the tier later, and it survives switching to monthly billing, lapsing, or cancelling and coming back.

The seat counter

The 100 seats are a hard cap, and the number left is displayed live and publicly — for example, “47 of 100 seats remaining”. It decrements as seats are claimed, and it is the authoritative figure rather than an estimate. Seats are reserved at the moment payment completes, so two people checking out at once can never be handed the same seat.

A seat is only ever claimed once per account. Switching from monthly to yearly claims one if any remain; renewing a seat you already hold does not consume another.

When the seats run out

Nothing about the yearly plan changes except the seat. Yearly is still sold, still costs $79.99, and still works out cheaper per month than paying monthly — it simply stops carrying the four founding benefits, and the page offers a waitlist instead. Because the price is identical either way, arriving after the last seat means you were never charged for something you did not get.

Billing

The yearly plan is billed once per year at $79.99, and renews at $79.99. A Founding Member seat is never repriced upward, including if Pro's price changes later. There is no separate Pro subscription running alongside it — the yearly charge is the whole cost.

Changing plans

Your vault contents are identical on every plan, so moving between plans changes what you can do, never what you have. Downgrading to Free re-imposes the 10-per-day limit and stops vault sync, but leaves every stored memory in place and readable. Your data remains exportable in open formats on every plan, including Free.

Switching between monthly and yearly is a change of billing cadence, not of plan — entitlements are the same on both. The one asymmetry is the seat: moving to yearly claims one if any are left, and a seat already claimed is kept for good, including if you later move back to monthly.
